Electric car charging stations in Latvia and their locations are increasingly becoming a search query on Google, and the number  of these stations on the map of Latvia is also increasing significantly. This is largely related to the introduction of state subsidies for the purchase of electric cars, as well as the drop in prices of electric cars along with the increase in supply. By the end of July 2023, almost 5,314 electric cars were registered in Latvia, of which 1,482  were purchased since the beginning of the same year.  

Such growth can be predicted for only a few more years, because almost 66% of the population of Latvia live in multi-apartment buildings where electric car charging is not available near their homes. This is an important aspect to decide in favor of buying an electric car, because usually 80% of electric car charging takes place directly at home, where it is most convenient. It would be appropriate to mention here that SIA Electrical also buys and installs electric car charging stations.

Be that as it may, electric cars are being bought and interest in public electric car charging stations is growing. These charging stations are mostly found in Riga and its agglomeration, but there is no shortage of them in state cities and the largest parish centers as well. The number of their locations changes rapidly with the increase in demand. There is no unified map with their locations. Therefore, we decided to start collecting such information so that everyone can find the nearest charging station.
